Legal Case Study

The Challenge

A prominent global law firm opened an office in Houston, Texas and wanted to build out its corporate transactional practice with a locally established, transactional mergers and acquisition attorney.

The Roadblock

The client’s practice in Houston was focused on litigation, so the position required not only an attorney with specific M&A expertise, but the ability to lead and develop an entire transactional practice. The lead time for identifying and hiring such a person is significantly longer than most executive searches, making it difficult for most recruiting firms to support.

The Solution

The search had to be extremely targeted, selective and confidential.  Manhattan Resources, through our retained search model, was able to devote the extended time required to source several well qualified candidates, and the client had their pick from a slate of leadership talent.

The Benefit

The client was able to focus on their legal practice while Manhattan Resources did all the legwork for staffing a vital part of their new office.

Looking Ahead

Manhattan Resources continues to support its client with sourcing talent throughout the region.
